In the world of self-hosting there are generally two ways of doing things: Hosting everything from a physical server you own and control, or hosting everything on a remote server managed by a VPS company. But what are the differences? Why use one over the other? Well I use both on a day-to-day basis, so here are my thoughts on the matter.
